Yes, if the Flying Object consists entirely of CNC-milled foam parts. However, custom Flying Objects often require a hybrid approach, combining milled foam parts with foil. While this combination can achieve a realistic effect, it’s important to note that foil has limitations regarding the level of realism it can provide.

Are Gear Factor's Flying Objects safe for the audience?

Yes, our Flying Objects are safe to use over crowds in indoor arenas. In fact they are made of a flexible foam and/or foil. Typically they weigh just about a few kg. These specs ensure nobody can be harmed.

How much lead time is required for a custom Flying Objects?

Lead times for our custom Flying Objects vary depending on size and complexity. Typically, production starts at 4 weeks but may extend depending on the specific requirements of your design.

What kind of budget is required for a custom Flying Object?

The required budget depends largely on the size of the Flying Object and the overall complication. Please contact us and provide reference pictures. We will get back to you within 3 working days with pricing information and specifications.

What do you need from us to kick off production?

Ideally, you should provide a 3D model and any other reference materials for your design. If 3D files are not available, we offer an additional service to generate high-resolution 3D data. Please allow an extra week for the production of 3D data.

Do you provide pilot services?

Yes, we provide pilot services worldwide.

Can you provide pilot training for our staff to operate the Flying Objects?

Our business model is designed around exclusively operating the Flying Objects we create. This comprehensive service includes maintenance, repairs, and operation in accordance with our rigorous safety standards. In exceptional cases, such as for very long show schedules, we may consider training your pilot to handle the operations.

Technology Lighter-than-air technology with an internal helium container made of aluminum-coated foil, or a gas-tight foil body.
Materials CNC milled form parts of ultra-light milling foam and/or foil.
Features Optional features such as motorized moving parts and LED lighting are available.
Motorization Powered by 3-4 brushless fan engines. Near invisibility in motion. Propeller guards optional.
Batteries Lithium-ion batteries or similar.
Flight Duration Maximum 15-20 minutes. Shorter flights are recommended to keep the impact high.

Is the shape of the Flying Car true to the original car model?

Yes, the shape is true to the original. Since we produce all parts with a Kuka CNC Milling robot the car will be executed true to the original with a high level of precision.

Can we choose the car color?

Yes, your Flying Car model can be produced in the desired colour.

Is a Flying Car safe for the audience?

Yes, our Flying Cars are safe to use over crowds in indoor arenas. In fact they are made of a flexible foam and weigh just about 6.5kg. These specs ensure nobody can be harmed.

How much lead time is required?

We require 9-11 weeks lead time to produce a prototype of a specific car model.

What kind of budget is required for a Flying Car?

The required budget depends largely on the size of the vehicle and the overall complication. Please contact us and provide reference pictures. We will get back to you within 3 working days with pricing information and specifications.

What do you need from us to kick off production?

Ideally you will provide us with CAD surface data of your car model. If not available, we can generate as an additional service hi-res 3D data. Please plan in 1 additional week for us to produce 3D Data.

Do you provide pilot services?

Yes, we provide pilot services worldwide.
